Surprises are good if they are meant to amuse and entertain. But to be surprised to realize that things are not exactly how they seem to be - or how they were painstakingly laid out for you to understand - now that sucks. They are like fine prints on several ambiguous contracts - they are but not amusingly just there!
Information is power, so they say - so beware when they come not in full but in bits and pieces. For you might just wake up one morning, only to realize ( or not be able to sleep, after the truth has struck you) that the picture that was painted in your head does not even come close to what is actually real.
There are certain things in life that come which you might find so hard to welcome, but they are there just the same for you to embrace. Because in life's bitter reality, there are just some things that you do not have control over. But then again, it makes a hell lot of a difference if you come face to face with them - prepared, hopeful and expectant. You get to choose how to fight the battle, in order to win the war. But to go to battle with an eye patch ... now that sucks real bad!
But hey! Who are we to complain? For in the hierarchy of things, there is just not enough consideration in the world! Otherwise, life would be so boring.
Oh by the way - I am not amused! Surprised? Really now!!!
